Genting Highlands Theme Park is the ideal place to entertain and have fun, especially for the school holidays. Did you know? Genting Highlands was founded by the late Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong. The idea to make a resort on the hill coming out of the fresh air in Cameron Highlands by the late Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong in 1964.

Genting Highland is very suitable for the whole family. Genting Theme Park is also famous. There is also a game of ‘indoor’ and ‘outdoor’ provided for those children and adults. In addition there are many places of entertainment such as concerts, performances, cinema, karaoke and so on.

Among Attractions in Genting Highland Theme Park is:

1. Ride on the Genting Skyway Cable Car


Officially opened by Prime Minister Dato ‘Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Feb 21, 1997 of the Genting Skyway can carry more than 2,000 people per hour each way with 8 passengers per gondola.

Link from the Main Station from Gohtong Jaya to Highlands Hotel. Genting Skyway offers a high-tech with a safe ride to the resort town.

#At the Maximum speed of 6 meters per second, 3:38 mile journey to the summit only takes 11 minutes.

2. Walk in the Snow World


Displays a log cabin, an igloo, toboggan and snow play area. The situation here is very cold, so do not forget to wear thicker. Kids will love the Rainforest Splash Pool, where the pool is filled with warm water even though the air and the weather here is pretty cool.

Snow World is an intriguing new enchanted place of fantasy and magic on a sky high at the peak. Experience new excitement as you walk into the new Snow World at the First World Plaza.

Winter city center and World Heritage concept, stunning views from all around would be a great place to take pictures as your memories.

3. Shopping at First World Plaza

There is an indoor theme park and shopping complex, which provides a variety of entertaining and exciting game six theme parks named after famous cities and landmarks around the world.

There are a variety of unique buildings including Big Ben in London, and the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Upon entering the First World Plaza you will surprised with giant Oscar statue and the statue of Liberty in the United States.


First World Plaza is also a major shopping center in Genting. Here too there are areas where:

  • Movies,
  • Eateries
  • Typical clothing store in a shopping mall.


4. Fly Genting Sky Venture


Genting Sky Venture is a game (of the art) tunnel ‘skydiving wind specially designed for you to experience the excitement as waterfalls from the air, without having to pack a parachute and jump out of airplanes.

It is the only independent skydiving activities in Asia, if you are wondering what is going to make you fly like a bird, Genting Sky Venture will make you experience flying like a bird.

5. Visit the Farm – Strawberry Park


If previously we used to hear in Cameron Highlands only strawberry, but this time you do not have to go far as Genting Highlands also available. But only one place and not as large as in Cameron.

Genting, Strawberry Park can be reached in a Taman Gohtong Jaya. It is faced with a Gohtong Jaya Sports Center. Of Seri Malaysia, you can walk to get there. Arguably, not far away from there.

Strawberries are very fresh here, visitors may be able to find it for free as a token of penhargaan come here. Strawberry prices here are not too expensive compared to outside.

6 Visit Chin Swee Caves Temple


Located in the most beautiful place in Genting Highlands. Inside the temple there is a statue of a black Reverend Master Chin Swee who was sitting. The statue is known as the deity in Fujian Province which is able to summon rain and drive away evil spirits.

The temple has been attracting the attention of many local and foreign tourists from countries such as Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand and China. Chin Swee Caves Temple is located on a plot of 28 acres of land donated by the rocky forests of Genting Group founder, the late Tan Sri Dato ‘Seri Lim Goh Tong.

# The temple is situated at 4600 meters above sea level and travel to the temple takes about 5-10 minutes from the summit.

# It is not suitable to be reached by those who are Muslims.
